HUNTING

Your adventure, your way

We believe hunting is about unforgettable experiences, fair chase and making true friends along the way.

What to Expect

Welcome! We want you to have the trip of a lifetime. To help with that, we want to provide you with the following information and guidance.

The typical day will start before sunrise with breakfast and warm drinks.  The departure time will be discussed the evening preceding the hunt. Once, everyone is fed and ready, we will head out accompanied by a tracker to hunt for the day. Typically, we bring lunch into the field with us along with plenty of refreshments. We will hunt via spot and stalk or still hunting through areas likely to hold your trophy. Considerable time will be spent in the hunting vehicle traveling to, from and in our hunting areas. Some species may require considerable walking in the bush such as Eland and Buffalo. You should train accordingly to maximize your chances of harvesting your trophies. We will stay out until near or after last shooting light depending on the day and travel distance. Your typical hunting day will include the opportunity to enjoy both sunrise and sunset. Don’t miss out. Some animals will be hunted at night such as predators and Bushbuck.

The animals on your list will be discussed with you before hunting begins. We highly recommend not setting inch limits such as you only want a 55-inch Kudu. If you give us a hard limit, we will not have you shoot at an animal that does not meet your minimum score. You may go home without any animal.  We recommend shooting representative trophies that are well hunted.  Focus on the hunt and not on the score. Also, we recommend being flexible with your list and that you follow the advice of the bushman: “Take what the bush gives.” Many of our past clients have taken fine trophies such as Duiker, Springbok, Red Hartebeest, Steenbock, Giraffe, Zebra and Sable that were not on their lists but were trophies of opportunity. Once, you have been successful, we will take care of your trophies up to and including getting them to a taxidermist for preparation for shipment home or full processing in Africa.

Consider equipping yourself with weapons that you are proficient in, ensuring accurate and effective shots within practical ranges. Bring calibres you are comfortable shooting. Heavy calibers that miss or wound game are lost opportunities. Wounded animals are an unfortunate reality and are your financial responsibility. In African hunting scenarios, the majority of shots are typically within a hundred yards using rifles, often with the use of shooting sticks. It is essential to practice shooting from various field positions, including standing, kneeling, sitting, and prone, both with and without rests. Please communicate your proficiency with the weapons you bring, and we will verify zero before embarking on the hunt.

Our staff provides daily laundry service for your convenience. Please place any items you’d like laundered on the floor. Each set of rooms is equipped with a private toilet and shower for your use. The period before dinner is an opportune time to freshen up, unwind from the day’s activities, and engage in socializing while we attend to trophy animal preparations and commence dinner arrangements.

Many of our clients relish evenings by the fire pit or Boma, sharing stories of the day’s adventures over their preferred beverages. Before the night concludes, we’ll provide you with the starting time for the upcoming day’s hunt.

We operate three distinct camps, chosen based on the targeted species, the size of the hunting group, and specific interests in attractions.

Indulge in delectable meals prepared by our chef, featuring a delightful blend of game dishes and authentic South African cuisine.

Our dedicated in-house staff ensures daily room upkeep and laundry services.

The choice of area and lodge recommendation depends on the specific animal or animals you’re pursuing, as certain regions are more conducive to particular species.
